Join MVSTA and celebrate the holidays with friends and family skiing in a non-competitive tour of the Mazama Trails. 

This is a perfect event for everyone, whether you’re skiing solo or have a big group – the object is to enjoy a tour of these beautiful trails. Choose between two distances: approximately 11k loop or a 20k loop.  A group start is planned at 10:45 a.m. for both distances.  You may start with the group or head out with your group at any time.  Afterwards, join in back at the Mazama Community Center for  hot drinks and tasty treats as your reward. Be sure to add this to your list of “Holiday must do’s”

Location

Day of event registration and afternoon celebration will be based out of the Mazama Community Center.  The optional group start will be at the Mazama Corral Trailhead, directly behind the Community Center at 10:45.

Distances

Choose between two distances: approximately 11k loop or a 20k loop. 
The tour will utilize a loop course that runs from Mazama up through the North Cascade’s Base Camp and across the Methow River.  Depending on the distance, both loops will cross over to the Freestone Inn trails and return to Mazama.

Cost

Adults:     $15
Kids:        $5 (17 and younger)
MVSTA Current Members:  FREE

* All skiers 18 and older must also have a MVSTA ski trail pass to participate.

Registration fee includes entry to the Tour and admission to the post event celebration at the Mazama Community Center

Day of registration will be at the Mazama Community Center from 9:00 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. 

After Tour Celebration - Noon to 2 p.m.

Join MVSTA and tour participants after your ski at the Mazama Community Center for refreshments and tasty treats – You’ve earned it!! A great way to finish the event and visit with friends and family.



Directions

The Mazama Corral Trailhead and Mazama Community Center:
From Winthrop, proceed west on Hwy 20 approximately 13.3 miles and take a right onto Lost River Road. Proceed approximately .4 mile to the Mazama Junction. Proceed straight through intersection and take a right into the Mazama Corral Trailhead parking area. The Community Center is located in the red building at the east end of the parking lot.
