Ski Rodeo

If your New Year's resolution is to try a ski race for fun or competition, get in better shape, or to just spend more time with friends and family, this race/event is for you! The event venue is wonderfully suited for everyone from participants to spectators - so bring the gang.  Come in ski gear or costume - wear your craziest costume and win a special prize!

Bibs and race timing will be provided for participants (register by 5pm on the 28th for timing!!!) and awards will be provided following the races.


Location

All races start from the Mazama Corral Trailhead behind the Mazama Community Center. See maps below for the 4 different courses.

Distances

  • 10K Freestyle technique (Timed - all ages)
  • 5K   Freestyle technique (Timed - all ages)
  • 5K   Fun ski (Un-Timed - all ages)
  • 2.5K Freestyle technique (Timed - ages 8-15)
  • 1K Classic technique (ages 4-7)

10k:   $25

5k:     $20

2.5k:  $15 (youth ages 8-15)

1k:     Free (youth ages 4-7)

Friday December 27th Registration and Bib Pick-Up

3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the (new!) MVSTA's office, 309 Riverside Ave in Winthrop.

Day-Of Registration available in Mazama for all catagories, but NO TIMING provided.

 


Refreshments and Awards

After the race, participants will gather in the Mazama Community Center for refreshments and an awards ceremony. The top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups will be presented with an award: J4, J3, J2, J1, OJ, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
All J7, J6, and J5 participants will be recognized at the conclusion of their finish.
