Don Portman, President
Founding member of MVSTA and has served on the Board since 1977. Owner and operator of Methow Valley Ski School, Winthrop. Ski Program Director and Trails Manager for Sun Mountain Lodge. Professional Ski Instructor of America (PSIA) certified nordic ski instructor.  
  Dick Roberts, Vice President
Founding member of MVSTA and has served on the Board since 1981. Owner and operator of North Cascades Basecamp in Mazama.  
  Diane Childs, Secretary & Treasurer
Board Member since January 1997. Co-owner and operator of Winthrop Mountain Sports. Certified PSIA downhill and nordic instructor.  
  Midge Cross
Midge has a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado. She and her husband, Scott Johnston, moved to Mazama from Bend, Oregon, where Midge spent eight years on the Bend Planning Commission. Midge also serves on the board of the Methow Conservancy and does her best to maintain the qualities of the Methow Valley. Midge runs, bikes, hikes and climbs, and is grateful every day to live in this beautiful place.

 
  Carl Miller
Board Member since 1995. Methow Valley native, retired to the Methow from Spokane where he was very active in the recreational trail system. Served on the WA State Sno-park Board for 7 years. Active in the cowboy/horse/cow business.  
  Dalton Du Lac
Board Member since 1995. Retired Forest Service Supervisor. Coach of Methow Valley Nordic Team and active member of Methow Valley Nordic Club.  
  Dave Ness
Board Member since December 1997. Broker and Owner of Methow Valley Realty.   
  Jim Gregg
Rookie on the MVSTA Board since the beginning of the century. Worked as winter sports and recreation specialist for the Forest Service. Chair of the Mazama Advisory Committee. Past PSIA examiner active in the local nordic racing program.  
  Joy Schwab
Joined Board in 2002. Administered 3 trail grants with the Methow Institute Foundation. Managed Jack's Hut recreation center for several years. Works for North Cascade Heli Skiing in the winter months and part-time for the Methow Conservancy all year.
