About the Artist
From a very early age creating art has been a major part of my life. A brand new box of crayons and a fresh coloring book was this 3 year old's idea of bliss.

It was my good fortune to be raised in the rural niches of the Pacific Northwest. My non-urban upbringing and college summers spent as US Forest Service fire lookout immersed me in the ever changing light, seasonal colors and bold shapes of the surrounding landscapes.

I think of my paintings as the beginnings of scenic conversations. You'll notice my style is representational, and not deeply detailed. I leave that part for you to draw from your own experiences and imagination.

Choose art as you would a lover or friend - look for that emotional connection or spark when you view the piece. And like a good friend, it should bring a smile to your face whenever you see it.
