A scenic point-to-point race on the some of the Valley’s more challenging mountain terrain. After the event, enjoy a light lunch at the Mazama Community Center during the awards ceremony and random drawing. Part of the Nordic Cup Series Saturday February 7, 2008 Location Rendezvous Ski Trails Distance and Race Course Description This 30K race is held on the intermediate and advanced trails in the Rendezvous area of the Methow Valley. From the race start, skiers climb 1400 feet in 9.5K to Rendezvous Pass. A descent of 800 feet in 5K and a 5K climb of 300 feet puts the racer at the 20K mark. A steep 5K descent and a final 5K stretch along the valley bottom marks the finish of the 30K course. New this year, racers may choose to race in freestyle or classic fields.
