Thank you to everyone who donated time, money and vision during the creation of the Winthrop Rink and Town Trailhead. The first winter season was a huge success with the help of dedicated volunteers, cold temperatures, high use and pass/rental sales beyond our wildest dreams.
We are now turning our attention to a full line-up of summer schedule:
Soccer camps
Gymnastics
Training camps
Private events
Please contact Tim at 996-4435, mvsasoccer@yahoo.com for summertime rink/field scheduling.

Grant
funding
Grant funding
includes $375,000 from the State of Washington, $130,000
from Okanogan County and $15,000 from the Town of Winthrop. We
also
have received $60,000 from MVSTA, generous contributions of professional
services and over $200,000 in private contributions. Click
here for a list of donors.
Is there more?
Yes, the Susie Stephens Trail being developed by the Town of Winthrop
will wind through this site. From the trailhead parking area, walkers
and bikers will have SAFE and pleasant passage to downtown on a
new pedestrian bridge. This trail will extend south to the area
around the Post Office. There are hopes of continuing this trail
to the high school and elementary school in the future.
How
can I be part of this?
Donations of all sizes are still welcome. Please click on the link below to access the donation form and send your tax-deductible donation to WISR. WISR is a 501(c)(3) corporation and an all-volunteer partner in the project.
