For a longer, one-way ski, try skiing down-valley from Mazama to the Town Trailhead along the Methow Community Trail. It’s mostly flat with a 5K hilly section in the middle. There are two warming huts along the way, and it crosses the Methow River on a suspension bridge. 30K

Cub Creek Loop, Rendezvous 18K

For a challenging all-day ski, try the one-way trek from Cub Creek to Mazama via the Rendezvous Trail. Climb 2000 feet to Rendezvous Pass, and pause at a warming hut for lunch before the descent, which is broken up by mellow flats and spectacular views. 30K
